Our Story
From off-grid caravan living to busy cafe bistro in Ross on Wye
It's been quite a shift?! But one we have loved.
Maggie's Place is the home of fine tea and coffee, artisan chocolate produced here, in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and local, gourmet light bites because anybody who knew Maggie knew just how much she loved tea, cake, chocolate (and dabbling in a bit of wine sometimes too!)
We are also big on supporting local, championing organic and feeding our bodies only the very best. Not only is this essential for so many reasons (too many to list here) but our stance is: convenience is great, but it is a problem. We can do better for ourselves and the planet by making more conscious, ethical choices with where we spend our money and what we choose to consume. We hope to portray this at Maggie's - and we are absolutely sure that Margaret would 100% agree.

If she's not sitting down ordering Mark around drinking tea, then she's running around making up divine dishes from the menu, chatting her head off to customers or just generally vibrating off the walls (with no coffee necessary). Kate is the creative genius behind Maggie's.

The best at the pour-over and describing the flavours of the coffee - he is super passionate about what we do at Maggie's and makes sure to tell everybody about our values and the traditional, local, sustainable stance that we have.
