Our Story

one young family, one dream: three heart-led, defining values.Ā Ā

Maggie's opened its doors on Ross High Street in December 2025 by Kate and Mark along with their three lovely children and adorable pooch, Babe. Maggie's is named after Kate's late grandmother, Margaret Simms, whom without her, there would never have been a Maggie's Place.Ā

Maggie's is set on highlighting time, appreciation for the world (local first, then beyond) and love for each other on the beautiful, Hidden High Street because the owners believe convenience is destroying our connection to each other and the world. At Maggie's the focus is on good coffee from across the globe but roasted in Ross, chocolate so divine that the clock stops and connection with yourself and the people around you, with no pressure to rush, just relax and enjoy.Ā

Ā

The entire sentiment with Maggie’s is to stay traditional, show how important connection and good coffee is over rushed, mass-manufactured food and drink. It’s about making sensible and sustainable choices that benefit people and the planet through being healthier, purposeful and values-led. ā€œYou have all of the time in the world. Especially to love good coffee, chocolate and connection.ā€

The core three values at Maggie's:

1. An exceptional, quality service, always. Valuing care and attention over the rush and quantity.Ā

2. High-quality, sustainable ingredients and menu - sourcing local and fresh keeping it all simple and easily accessible.Ā

3. Kindness. Because every customer deserves upmost respect and kindness. Getting to know customers on first-name basis, even if they're from the other side of the globe is a definite.

"Friendly service from Mark and Kate today and they have created a fabulous space here. Lovely, comfy and relaxing seating areas to sit and enjoy your coffee and cake. An experience, not just a coffee stop." - Nicola

"Very warm welcome! The cafe extends right through to the back and has little, cosy, secluded seating areas. We were offered an array of drinks and a custom drink for our youngest. Children and dogs welcome. Highly recommend this place! Lovely experience!" - Katie

"Katie and Mark were incredibly friendly and genuinely warm. The food was lovely and the focus on everything being locally sourced is a brilliant showcase for the area. We had their sandwich meal deal which was incredible value for money, filling and flavoursome." - Luke

"Perfect V60 coffee, highly recommend, as good as the best coffee places in Melbourne." - Lauren
